Eric Allman Wow! Put this one in the "shoulda been a hit" category. Great stuff. By the way, anyone see the Beach Boys on the Grammys last night? I couldn't be bothered to watch the rest of that rubbish, but I'm reading positive reviews of the Boys' performance, & I'm sure someone will have it posted online before long. I'll watch it then.

Eric Allman I guess the vocals are live, though if you listen carefully, it'd be very easy to mistake them for a remix of the studio vocals. Howard & company were right on. One of the many great, great songs penned by the team of Steve Barrie & P.F. Sloan.

Eric Allman Great one! These guys were a hard-edged garage rock band when they first came out, as heard on their first couple albums. At some point, they gravitated toward a more bubblegum-pop sound, & still did good stuff, but I think I like their rockin' stuff best.

Sandra Bednar I would like to hear one of these songs that you hardly ever play. "Julie, Do Ya Love Me" by Bobby Sherman although "Easy Come, Easy Go" is a much better song. If you're not in a Bobby Sherman mood, I would LOVE "Spirit In the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum, which is really my first choice. 3rch choice would be "Long As I Can See the Light" by CCR.

Eric Allman That they were from just up the road probably explains why Cleveland was one of the first cities this one broke big in. They had a follow-up titled I Call My Baby Candy, which wasn't nearly as good or catchy as this song. Last we heard from the Jaggerz.

Eric Allman I do have the album, & on cd nowadays to boot. Only thing about this version which sometimes irritates me is the lack of a rhythm guitar. When the guitarist is playing lead in the non-vocal sections, the rhythm section behind him could use a little more muscle. Just my opinion. Still a very cool version.
