Age 9-14 – Raced go karts at the regional level in the San Francisco area. Consistently ran at the front and had numerous podium finishes. No accurate records were kept.
Age 18-20 – Worked part time at the Speed Ring an indoor karting track in San Jose. While working at speed ring I logged over 50 hours of seat time. Had the track record at there location for fastest lap.
2007 Season – First season in the San Francisco Region SCCA in the Spec Racer Ford Class. Started the year off at Infineon raceway and finished 9th overall in is first car race ever in an almost 40 car field. Continued racing the entire 14 race calendar and finished the season with 8 top 10 finishes and a podium finish. Perry came in 5th in the championship points standings for and was also awarded the SFR Rookie of the year in 2007 which is an outstanding achievement
2008 Season – The Second season with the SCCA Perry Stepped up into the DSR Class. In his first national race weekend he took a 1st and a 2nd place in class and the rest of the season results were similar with 9 podium finishes in both regional and national classes including 6 1st places. Perry Ended up taking 3rd in Regional points with the SFR SCCA, 2nd in the Northern Pacific National Division of SCCA, and a 7th at the 2008 SCCA Runnoffs and was the first stock motor to cross the finish line.
