University of Richmond School of Arts & Sciences American poet Jennifer Atkinson is the author of three books of poetry: The Dogwood Tree, The Drowned City, which won the Samuel Morse Prize, and Drift Ice. Her poems elegantly examine issues of spirituality and the natural world. A recipient of the Pushcart Prize, she teaches at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
