On the other hand, the "showy display of one's means of life" originates with a world (1st John 2:15-17) that is alienated from God's "way" to bring salvation to everyone. Jesus said of himself: "I am the way and the truth and the life." In the body of Christ, even the unseemly parts are surrounded with abundant honor so that no division in the body. When one member suffers the whole body suffers with it. And when one member is glorified all the other members rejoice with it. (1st Corinthians 12:24-26) But Christ's body is not and never has been the role model for capitalism. Love of money rather than love itself has been the core basis behind capitalistic endeavors. And "the love of money is the root of all evil."(1st Timothy 6:6-11)
