Monica First time ever that Alice Springs Australia has an ice rink, and I spent 2 hours there today! 101 degrees outside so it felt even better... it's only running until Feb 7th, so will go as often as I can. The ice itself was pretty awful (no Zamboni here in the Outback) but it was wonderful to be skating again & my Riedells were great!

With a busy schedule (see the USA Today article we posted about earlier this month), Rachael Flatt is finding time to give back to her local and global communities. Rachael was selected earlier this month as a Team for Tomorrow Athlete Ambassador, an impressive responsibility for the young skater...

Claire Stimson I had custome skates from when I was like 5 but they are too small now, any tips on which skate to buy?

Riedell Skates Congratulations to Joannie Rochette! Joannie was recently named 3rd in Canwest New Services’ Canadian Female Athlete of the Year article. Way to go, Joannie!

As we say good night to the decade without a name, I thought it would be fun to review some of the skaters that have been prominent players on the competitive landscape over the past 10 years. Let's start ...

Riedell Skates Welcome back, Riedell fans! We hope you had a great holiday weekend (filled with hours of ice skating!) Our rinks were extremely snow-covered here in Minnesota. How did you celebrate the holidays this month? Did you get any Riedell gear that was on your wish list?

Riedell Skates We’re sure you’ve all checked out our video of how our figure skates are made (if not, you should!) Now here’s your chance to see how your favorite roller skates are made! This past May, a TV Series called How It’s Made featured a segment on Riedell Skates. Check it out to see the hard work that goes into each pair of skates. It’s really amazing!

Krista The best pair of Riedell skates I had were the competitors. Never a problem with them. Then they became discontinued, and I went with the HLS 1500- they were nice too, but nothing has beat those competitors. Now I've got Klingbeil boots, but would recommend Riedell to anyone.

Riedell Skates We like the idea of having a fun question to kick off the weekend. Plus, we love to learn more about our fans! Since winter officially begins on Monday, we’re wondering, is there wintery weather in your neighborhood? Also, be sure to watch Salute to American Skating on NBC Sunday afternoon from 2-4:00 EST.

Riedell Skates Last week, we told you about how NBC and the National Science Foundation were working together to show how science plays a role in our favorite Olympic sports (like figure skating!) Riedell favorite Rachael Flatt was part of this awesome program and her video, which explains the physics of figure skating, is now avail...able online. Check it out and tell us what you learn!
