A $55 million mixed-use development called Global Village on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology is just one example of the capital projects at area colleges that are helping the construction industry survive the economic downturn.

RIT Housing Operations Our week-long “Global Village” kick-off event starts today! Visit the RITZ and Crossroads during lunch for food inspired by Salsarita’s and RIT’s “Global Grill,” two new restaurants coming to “Global Village.” Housing staff will also be set-up in the SAU lobby and The Crossroads from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. throughout t......he week to answer questions and provide information.

CHECK IT OUT! The new RIT housing plan will include:
-- a mixed-use courtyard near Crossroads and the USC
-- residential buildings consisting ......of apartments and suites with meeting spaces to support the entrepreneurial and global missions of RIT
-- commercial space around the courtyard will include a convenience shop, restaurant/bar, expanded Crossroads dining space, bank, HUB Print Center, West Side Mail Facility, and Fitness center.
