Rockcliff appeared to be a shadow of the team that demolished Houghton last week as they slipped to second place after only managing a draw in the Malcolm Flockton memorial match against North Shields.
A hat trick of tries from Johnny Birkett and 14 points from the boot of Andrew Webster was enough to seal the victory and the top spot of Durham and Northumberland league two in an 11 try bonanza against Houghton.

There was not repeat of last weeks emphatic win over Winlaton at the Vikings went down at Ryton.
