I really hope progress is made with today's town hall. I will be all ears. If you're going to be at work during the town hall, the app I always use on my iPhone for White House updates will be streaming it, so you can listen to it conveniently here: www.iheartradio.com/whbliv e. Hoping for the best today.

Yeah, Rachel Carosello's fiance, or, whatever, like the time, remember, when the US gave support for the Baathists and Hussein, since, like, the fifties, especially against Iran, where we even turned a blind eye against gassing whole villages, etc, since, technically, it was perfectly in line with anti-Iranian US policy? You don't...you don't think the IRANIANS remember that, do you? Hmmm.

President Barack Obama on Tuesday declared the United States and the entire world are "appalled and outraged" by Iran's violent efforts to crush dissent.
Bill at 1:55pm June 23
There is no right way for the US to respond to this. Our history with Iran is abysmal and the worst thing a legitimate opposition group could be labeled in Iran is pro-US.
Joseph at 2:24am June 24
What we need is to mobilize anti-American, pro-democratic-Iran supporters. THEY would have some sort of quasi-validity in this whole mess.

You all should watch the documentary " The Queen and I" about the exiled wife of the Shah of Iran. Very interesting to see that just two days after the protests in Iran. They seem to have a history of corruption and the people are used to being lied to. I think it's really good that the people tried to peacefully demonstrate their feeling of being cheated out of a fair vote. Hopefully things will change for the better for them, if they can continue to hold their government accountable.

If the Supreme Leader and the President were so confident in the election results and in support of the tenets of Democracy, it seems to me that it would have been much easier to have agreed to a new and internationally monitored election, as opposed to clerical authoritarian dictates and steamroller tactics used against Iran's people. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut Iranians' access to the internet down. Cut & paste & pass it on.
