From sailing the high seas as the ultimate naval companion to helping the young and hip navigate through an urban lifestyle, the pea coat has stood the test of time and continues to stand as an essential statement piece for any wardrobe.

In Tokyo!, the directorial trio of Michel Gondry, Leos Carax, and Boon Joon-Ho answer the two-folded question: Do we shape cities, or do cities shape us?

If nothing is done in Laos, a land where countless herds of elephants once roamed, the greatest of the pachyderms will disappear during the lifetime of our children. Dwindling jungles and human encroachment are the obvious culprits, just as eco-tourism is the obvious course of salvation...

I think we should be focusing on our own ecological/wildlife problems here in the Phils. before anything else--such as making sure that the Wild bird Sanctuary along the Coastal Road area in Paranaque gets the needed attention that it deserves.

To celebrate his six years in the industry, maverick lensman of the moment, Mark Nicdao, mounted his first solo exhibit,Alive, last March. His famous subjects included KC Concepcion, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Phoemela Baranda, and Solenn Heussaff. During the opening night, Paolo R...

John Esteva Wilson hey guys, thanks for the party last night! had a blast as usual. and katz, anytime you need a host for anything, i'm your man!

Mj Sytat i've never read a local magazine cover to cover, but this one? yes. keep it up!

Jake The April issue of Rogue featuring Negros was a joke, it seems everyone featured was on crack or smoked weed because they were clearly telling stories half truths, the other half their fantasy. What a JOKE!!

Boracay Buzz
Just to make you aware that the people of Boracay (with the support of local government) have launched a campaign to protect their environment and preserve their name and identity.
Please support and respect us by using the correct name for our island in your publication. "Bora" is far too similar to Bora Bora in French Polynesia, and is already causing confusion for tourists!
Please view our Facebook page (below) for details:

Many thanks!

Santi de Rivera Sorry for hogging space here but I just want to say that I'm also a big fan of Mr. Vanni de Sequera's writing from the old Manual magazine and it's such a pleasure to see him as one of your contributing editors and writers. By the way if I'm not mistaken, your anniversary is this june. Congratulations! Perhaps you guys can publish one feature about the staff and writers of ROGUE because I think I'm not alone here when I say that I'd like to know who's behind the philippines' no. 1 magazine that's making all of us proud to be filipino!

Santi de Rivera By the way I've always wanted to know so I'll just go on and ask here: How do you guys get to gather (and convince) the country's best photographers, writers, and layout designers to work and contribute for you? I've been a big fan of Mr. Nicdao, for instance, but I've never seen such top quality photography that's done by him before, aside from the ones that he has done for Rogue. I've browsed through his other works in other magazine titles but I'm sorry to say that nothing comes close to his photography for ROGUE MAGAZINE. Your writers are your no. 1 asset, guys! I'm amazed! You got artists, politicians, journalists, rockstars (like Ely), and the writing field's legends and upstarts writing for you. Also, just want to say, I've been a big fan of the S.U.P.E.R. section in the Phil. Daily Inquirer and it's a pleasure to see its writers writing for ROGUE. Thank you ROGUE, for making me happy every month.

Santi de Rivera I'm always very excited to open a copy of ROGUE. To the editors and staff of the mag: Guys you're all brilliant. I cannot begin to explain just how amazed I am with your capability to tackle different topics, juggling issues with your signature rogue style. Just last March was your MEET THE TITANS issue where we your readers were treated with serious views on the business sector of the country. A month later, you wow us with an absolutely fantastic insider's look at NEGROS, which happens to be my mother's hometown. Then this month, a great portfolio on jazz artists. I'm excited to see what you guys are doing in the coming months. May I commend your editorial staff for wonderful selection of articles and photographs. Add to that the reviews on your first opening section (GALLERY, if I'm not mistaken) are always enjoyable read for its opinionated, well thought of views. WELL-WRITTEN, WELL-EDITED, WELL-DONE.

Melody This magazine makes me so proud to be a Filipino.. and to be born in Manila.. :-)

Joby Orosa
This month's issue is very timely.
In an age when local music is catered by screaming vampires in rainbow-colored sneakers and a grown man and his posse, singing about "non-reciprocated love for a Lesbian"; its about time for us to revive the music of those who are very much missed and too important to be ignored.
Much respect to Jamie Wilson as well for having the guts to reveal the dark world that comes with living the life that teens would die-for just to get a taste of.
Once again, a great issue from Rogue. You guys never fail to amuse everyone.

John Esteva Wilson thanks for the space! so honored to finally be on the music issue's guest list!
