Room to Read: World Change Starts with Educated Children (Official)
Through the generosity of Scholastic Inc, Room to Read receives large shipments of donated, new children’s books every year. The books arrive in giant cardboard boxes and are loose and unsorted. To ready them for our country teams, we need to sort through them, remove any books that are not appropriate for children and... then send them on their way to be distributed to our worldwide network of schools, libraries, and beyond.
This year, we have A LOT of boxes to sort, therefore we need A LOT of help! This is a fun way for the community to get involved with our work and contribute directly to our program needs.
The more people who pitch in, the faster the job gets done, and the sooner we get these books on their way to our libraries. We need at least 80 volunteers across two shifts (9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm) to make this happen!

Thank you for helping us provide quality reading materials to children in the developing world!
