Canadian astronaut Julie Payette and NASA crewmates of the Space Shuttle Endeavour will speak to Young Patrons Circle (YPC) members and guests as part of the YPC Lunch with Leaders series at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) on November 5, 2009.

In July 2009, the Space Shuttle Endeavour crew docked at the International Spa...ce Station for a 16-day mission involving complex robotics operations and five spacewalks, while travelling 10.5 million kilometers in space and completing 248 orbits around the Earth. Drops of water taken into space from the Great Lakes and the oceans surrounding Canada will be showcased at the event as a symbol of the Earths natural beauty and fragility. The samples will later be on display in the Schad Gallery of Biodiversity at the ROM to serve as a reminder to protect the great Canadian ecosystem.

An intimate group of guests will learn about the historic Mission STS-127 from Aerospace industry leaders, view a NASA video of mission highlights, and enjoy a special lunch prepared by c5 Restaurant Lounge. Please join us for the unique opportunity to hear Julie Payette and her NASA colleagues address YPC members, guests and the next generation of philanthropic leaders at the ROM.
