(Jonah Ch.3) Jonah's message was simple: "Repent." And Nineveh repented. Don't worry too much about theological questions we might face in evangelism. The message God has charged us with is simple.

Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America How did the RP view of the END TIMES affect the founding of the seminary?

Source: nathaneshelman.blogspot.com
The Reformed Presbyterian Church (in America) was relatively small in the 1800s. (It was less than 1/3 of the size that it is today). There were only four established seminaries in the United States at the time RPTS's Constitution was written (in 1807). ...

Our AM sermon was on our obedience to Christ and our motives for following Him. We were challenged to not do the minimum, which reflects a heart more interested in legalistic observance of the law than a personal relationship with Christ.

It's the latest in what's been an excellent series on the letter to the Church of Ephesus (Rev. 2:1-7). They ... Read Morecan be listened to at http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?seriesOnly=true&currSection=sermonstopic&sourceid=grrpcna&keyword=The+First+Works&keyworddesc=The+First+Works

Revelation 2:1-7. A church that has sound theology and doctrines; faithful enduring under the pressure from the world; yet if she loses the first love, the Lord will not use that church as a lampstand.

Richard Gamble, the pastor at CHRPC, Beaver Falls, used several texts from Isaiah, particularly chs. 42, 49, and 50, to speak of Christ's suffering as the King and how He needed to allow Himself to endure much pain/hardship/travail so that we might enjoy life everlasting by believing upon Him. And the importance of reading the Word daily was one of the emphases of Dr. Gamble's message by way of application. Excellent it was!

That's nice, but it would be great to have someone knowledgeable about the collection as a whole tell about it. Maybe a history of the collection and some particular treasures in it. Interview Tom Ried and others who know the collection as a whole.

Thank you all for praying today. No matter what the outcome, God is good. But we especially praise Him that Priscilla has come out of surgery well. Pastor Eshelman just called to say that while she did have ovarian cancer, they got it all and she will not need chemo or radiation.

Please rejoice with us and give thanks!

Explanation on what makes singing the Psalms so special.

Our congregation currently uses the 1912 U.P. Psalter, which has many great and well-loved versions of the hymns. That said, it's struck me since joining the RPCNA just how seriously the unity of the Psalms is taken - believers from all across the country joining together to sing at the International Conference, which still gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. To hear God worshiped with His word and with such fervent hearts is a great foretaste of heaven.
