Rugby World Magazine Is very disappointed to see that Julien Dupuy is appealing his six months ban for gouging, especially after he apologised afterwards and said he had been 'an idiot'. There is, presumably, an option for the ban to be increased in the appeal hearing. The minimum ban for gouging should be six months.

Rugby World Magazine Tommy Bowe appeared at a Citing Hearing today after a tackle in the Viadana game last weekend. After considering the evidence, the independent Judicial Officer, HH Judge Jeff Blackett (England), determined than although the player had committed an act of foul play (so that the citing was upheld), the act of foul play h...ad not warranted a red card. Accordingly the player is free to play.

The rugby content was excellent. Don't think: Escape to Victory! The first game is England v SA in 1994, and the World Cup games are exactly as they were, in score terms anyway, right down to Joel Stransky (or Scott Eastwood) kicking the winning drop goal.
