I am so happy that this young man awakened after his diagnosis, but some of us are awakened already, without having contracted HIV, and understand that our very lives depend upon remaining negative. We must also not dismiss the fears of HIV negative individuals, like me, for example, whose less than optimum general health would mean that HIV would likely kill us within a short period, or at least make us very sick very fast. Positive individuals must not take rejection based upon their status personally. It is such an emotionally loaded subject from each direction.
