The Roman catholic church @ the time ruled everything & used great control over its subjects & if any monk, priest or educated lay person ever dare teach anything from scripture, that wz considered 2b blasphemy 2 the romancatholic church & punishable by death. Burning @ the ... Read Morestake, imprisionment, many were burned @ the stake 4 their stand on scripture which exposed their man made religion of works. They lived "Underground" & in disguise. We have so many martyred captains of faith that paved the way 4 us 2 have the scripture in print, preaching of "Grace, Faith in Jesus Christ alone" & the denominations we have 2 day from great conversions ie...Augstine, John Wycliff, Martin Luther, Hugh Latimer, John Calvin, Alexander Henderson, Richard Cameron, John Knox, John Bunyan, Matthew Henry, John Wesley, George Whitfield, C.H. Spurgeon etc... this is just scratching the surface of captains of faith. Can u imagine having 2 hide any piece of paper that wz scripture, not a Bible but just pieces of parchment, paper of scripture, not having the full work of the Bible, so we can hide His Word n r heart so we don't sin against Him. We now have hw many different translations, do we take the Word 4 granted, sadly yes, a lot of the time we do.
So lets not 4get All the sacrafices that were made 4 r Freedom 2 Worship, 2 know The Word of God, Share the Word, Preach 2 a lost & dying world The Gospel of Salvation! Hallelujah Celebrate "All Saints Day" Day of Reformation!!
