Latest News (Updated December 8, 2009): I got a phone call from Russ back in late October with some terrific news: He has no less than two completed books in the publication pipeline — and I've got a short excerpt from one of them to share with you!
Olly

Olly I recently bought Hoban's "My Tango With Barbara Strozzi", what a great read! I powered through it; yet amidst the humour and great story-telling I found great "pause-for-thought" philosophical moments. I shall definately be reading more!

Peace

Russell Hoban [Dave Awl] Had a great phone conversation with Mr. Hoban last week. He asked me to pass along the news that he has *two* completed books scheduled for publication. His next novel, Angelica Lost and Found, will be published by Bloomsbury in 2010, and Soonchild, a young adult novel, will be published by Walker Books in 2011. Stay tuned!

Ronald Vander Bosch

Ronald Vander Bosch If you had spent the first 6 years of your life in Nazi occupied Europe like I did, where there was no food, no water and no heat to speak off, you have come real close to the Riddley Walker tale. It gave me the shivvers being forced to go through it again, quite amazing the intensity of my memories.

Dave Todd I've been reading Kleinzeit to the missus in bed. Have to keep nudging her awake. I even do it in funny voices (Redbeard as a kind of demented kosack). We romped through Amaryllis though.

Alan Power out in Toronto; and me in the midst of a Riddley obsession.

Read the tale Why the Dog Wont Show its Eyes to my wife in bed, by the light of a portable button light.

We loved the dark, and it loved us. But man is it cold and are we ever weak without our electricity.
