R.W. Hampton FREEDOM; to me that would be the absence of that little irritating, instrument of frustration – the cell phone. In my life it has become even more invasive that the US Government. I can’t hide from anyone anymore. I spend half my time trying to find my phone and the other half calling people back from a dropped call. I’m happiest now when I have entirely no service, or it is DEAD!

R.W. Hampton Halloween night found me with family and friends in a serene neighborhood in lovely Central Oregon. Kids in costumes scurried from house to house collecting while us older folks waited at the curb. A scene from yester-year? Could have been; except for the eerie glow of everyone’s cell phones. Oh well, too late to turn back now.

Thought I could help out last night since Lisa had a meeting. Ol' Super Dad thought you can't go wrong with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches & Tomato Soup. Right? Wrong! The sandwiches sat like bricks waiting to be laid & the soup bubbled like chemical waste while my boys begged me to let them go clean their room& do homew...ork! What did I learn?
