R.W. Hampton FREEDOM; to me that would be the absence of that little irritating, instrument of frustration – the cell phone. In my life it has become even more invasive that the US Government. I can’t hide from anyone anymore. I spend half my time trying to find my phone and the other half calling people back from a dropped call. I’m happiest now when I have entirely no service, or it is DEAD!

Join me on Saturday, November 14 from 10am until 4pm to celebrate the Grand Opening of Atwoods' brand new store in Kingfisher, Oklahoma.

R.W. Hampton Halloween night found me with family and friends in a serene neighborhood in lovely Central Oregon. Kids in costumes scurried from house to house collecting while us older folks waited at the curb. A scene from yester-year? Could have been; except for the eerie glow of everyone’s cell phones. Oh well, too late to turn back now.

Sherry Smith Do you know your schedule (dates and times) for the Saddle up celebration in Pigeon Forge, TN. yet???

You may have noticed several Facebook posts mentioning R.W. being featured in the latest issue of The Western Way, the official magazine of the Western Music Association (WMA). R.W. indeed is the subject of a major cover story in The Western Way's Fall issue. R.W...

Hey RW, Greetings from Calif. Gary gave me the copies of "The Western Way" magazine yesterday. The cover came out GREAT! I'm thrilled! It's already matted, framed and ready to hang on my wall as a prized posession. Your kind words and autograph make it perfect! Thanks so much. The article was great too, I really enjoye...d reading about a great american cowboy lifestyle that I've only seen poorly depicted in movies. What a difficult and unappreciated job that is. I greatly admired you for the Man of God, Family Man, Cowboy, Rancher and talented singer, songwriter and entertainer that you are. I am blessed to call you my friend. Hope to see you on your next trip to Calif. Say Hi to Lisa for me. Take care and God Bless.Read More

R.W. Hampton Our 3 year old was off his schedule and overdue for a nap. My assignment was to strap him in his car seat & drive. I thought we’d give a listen to the final mix of my next CD. Ethan said “That’s you Daddy, huh?” “That’s me” I answered. At that, little Ethan replied “yeah…” and smiling drifted off to dream. That’s about as good as it gets for this Dad.

R.W. Hampton I see I have a number of FB Friends from Italy on here. Have you seen Terrence Hill's Doc West movie yet? If so, what did you think? We filmed it here around Santa Fe, I haven't seen myself as the character, "Scar" yet.... I'm wondering if I'm a natural bad guy???

Christina Brooks-Swanson So word out here is that you are going to be at Saddle UP this year. If so we are so excited. Due to gas being so high we cant make it west. Really enjoy Saddle Up and what you guys do for Cal Farley's. Cant wait to say hello again

R.W. Hampton I wished for you this morning. Wished you could have been here as the first light of a brand new day swept across my mountains. Take red light on mesas white as the bull elk bugle: add a pair of bald eagles in a golden cottonwood tree & stir in the sweet smell of Piñon smoke. This is the recipe for magic. I felt that magic strong. And this morning I wished for you.

Thought I could help out last night since Lisa had a meeting. Ol' Super Dad thought you can't go wrong with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches & Tomato Soup. Right? Wrong! The sandwiches sat like bricks waiting to be laid & the soup bubbled like chemical waste while my boys begged me to let them go clean their room& do homew...ork! What did I learn? I'm no cook, but I do have a new way to get the kids to clean their room!Read More
