Save Walthamstow Cinema This weekend please ask your councillors in person to support the cinema - see SURGERIES in 'discussions' to find out where they are. Why not buddy up with a friend if you'd rather not go alone?

Lisa Waltham Forest Council have alot to answer for turning all of the recently closed down places of leisure into old folks homes, housing or churches. I know the government don't want us to socialise to further their divide and conquer regime and council officials are making underhand deals with the likes of Tesco to tu...rn our town into a ghost town once Tesco ensures all other local business close because they can't compete.

We have lost many pubs, a nightclub, greyhound racing, childrens adventure places. There is nowhere for our youth, middle aged or elderly to go anymore. We need a multiplex in the middle of the borough, cinema, bowling alley, nightclub, bingo, something like City Limits in Collier Row.

Tallulah Tangle SUPPORTERS FROM OUTSIDE THE BOROUGH - since you're a vital part of the equation, potentially bringing your spending power to Waltham Forest if you had a restored cinema to travel here for, please have a think about dropping in at some councillor surgeries on Saturdays (and a few other times), especially where Planning ...Committee members are sitting. This week's list is now available over on the Discussion board. Thanks!

Steve Keep up the good work guys, is there anything else we can do apart from writing letters? Is there going to be a final demonstration before Christmas??

Thanks Steve. Apart from letters to councillors, everyone can visit them in person at their Saturday surgeries. A list will be published here on Thursdays and sent to supporters on Fridays with details of times, locations, wards and current position for each councillor that's holding a surgery each Saturday.

It's especially useful to state your ... See Moreviews in person to members of the Planning Committee although they'll be unable to state their own views. Anyone outside of the borough who wants to travel in to see good films in a distinctive cinema (instead of cloned multiplexes) could drop in and have a chat to Planning Committee members or any other councillor, telling them they'd bring money INTO the borough.
