I saw on the site there is an area to Reform the Democratic Party. When will everyone understand there is no reforming the Democrats or reforming the Republicans. Both parties are part of the problem. The sooner we start voting for the individual, the better.

noone put all of the blame on him. only said that he has "direct responsibility." he does. by the lexical definition of the phrase. there's no way around it. just because you can name others who also have responsibility doesn't mean he doesn't. he had one of the largest, most hands-on roles in this mess. that is DIRECT responsibility.

Peter Schiff for Senate 2010 Reminder! Schiff on the Daily Show tonight! Tune in! Will he discuss the Senate Race? Will he throw his hat in the ring? Who knows!

Matthew at 8:28pm June 9
Great interview with lots of positive feedback from Jon Stewart. I sure hope he'll run for Senate!
Dave at 8:28pm June 9
That was a good segment! Unfortunately he didn't confirm his run for Senate, but he did say he's still thinking about it.

Peter Schiff for Senate 2010 Peter Schiff to be on the Daily show on Tuesday the 9th

Peter Schiff for Senate 2010 Following a grassroots effort to get Peter Schiff on the Daily Show, we are excited to announce that Schiff to be on with John Stewart Show on Tuesday. Be sure to tune in! Things are heating up!
Caleb at 9:32pm May 30
Appealing to the lowest common denominator, eh? I guess you gotta do that when you step into the world of politics...
Matt at 11:43pm May 30
That will be an interesting conversation considering they are politically opposites. I look forward for John Stewart's response to Peter Schiffs' message.
Yvonne at 6:52am May 31
I hope he's going to make the big announcement!

It's starting to look that way. Schiff, the broker and financial pundit who is widely credited with having predicted the world financial meltdown, told Greg Sargent's Plum Line blogtheplumline.whorunsgov.comthat there's a "better than 50-50" chance he will run against U.S. ...
Zack at 1:36pm May 27
Peter, you have to do this. We need more economists like yourself, who can accurately predict and help guide monetary policy! Just as you predicted in March, prices are slowly starting to rise on goods and services, at least they are in my area.
We're accelerating towards a horrible disaster and we need more people like you to help us avoid it.

I love how Cheney put it: "phony moralism".. masquerading as "recklessness cloaked in righteousness".
Phillip at 4:15pm May 26
We quote von Mises, Schiff and Franklin and you call us retards and then you have the nerve to follow that senseless insult with a quote from Cheney.
And before you start ranting nonsense on what we did and didn't do about Hitler I strongly suggest you stop wasting your time throwing around meaningless, childish insults to people you don't even ... Read Moreknow and do some historical research.
And yes Jennifer, I have watched Beck for several years now and I speak for my own opinion, not others, especially not Reid's or Pelosi's. I agree with many of his views, especially his monetary views. I just disagree with his views on our interventionist foreign policy. If that makes me a retard or an idiot, then in Heidi's words, "so be it." But I guess that would make our Founding Fathers idiots as well. Thank goodness we have Heidi and Dick Cheney to correct our founders on what they had wrong.

Miguel at 6:46am May 22
Since when?....1913? I think the better question to ask is when will the American people realize that the Federal Government has been doing things all wrong for more then 100 years ( to be generous ) and when will THEY do something about it?.....

John at 10:25pm May 18
Things feel so manipulated with the us dollar still hanging in there and gold being unable to rise.
Heidi at 6:43pm May 19
I disagree, Joe. I think they know EXACTLY what they're doing. They've been pursuing the most insane legislative and bureaucratic agenda for five decades to deliberately bankrupt the economy so they can do EXACTLY what they're doing now. TAKE OVER THE PRIVATE SECTOR for pennies on the dollar. Its a bloodless socialist revolution. And frankly, its brilliant. Unamerican and treasonous to be sure, but it is the application of Karl's Marx's version of "basic economics".

Paul at 6:14pm May 16
Mike Huckabee is not conservative my friend. He raised taxes in Arkansas. He also supports the unconstitutional war in Iraq. Even though he has claimed support for a fair tax, there is no evidence that he actually worked to implement that in the state of Arkansas. Peter Schiff was the economic advisor on Ron Pauls 2008 presidential campaign. I... Read More suggest you check out Ron Paul and his traditional and real constitutional conservative views. If you will not look at Ron Paul, at least look in Hucks fairly liberal record.

No, your thesis that China is a communist country and therefore has a communist economy, is wrong.
Since 1985 (when China opened the Shenzhen SEZ), the Chinese government has gradually loosened the grip on the economy, and today China's economy is almost as free and open (with the exception of corruption) as Europe, America or Japan.

Marius at 1:02pm May 5
i'm a big fan of peter schiff but i don't like the subtle preachy tone that these updates have.. big deal if it's going to be owned by gov't -- there's no other option right now. in my opinion, this is great news, it means that for our generation, 5 - 7 years from now, there will be excellent privatization opps or outlets to create more efficient solutions (i.e. DHL, FedEx). Fall of the soviet union again -- bring it on -- I'll be waiting :)
Jeremy at 2:00pm May 5
Uh, Marius, do you know much about Soviet Union history? Government ownership of these firms will have many negative effects. They aren't likely to want continued competition, and now that government will be in control, gov. will be motivated to levy taxes on the japanese plants and we all suffer once the competition is truly gone. What would ... Read Moremake you think the gov can handle private industry when they couldn't manage budgets much smaller than what they have been appropriating lately. There's no other option right now?? What about going out of business. Jesus you'd think we were a communist nation already by the way folks go on. We could have let the free market work, and it WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE. Jobs would have been reallocated. We're somehow okay with pretending the market doesn't have room for winners and losers. Well, the taxpayers are the losers when your country takes that mindset.
