I am glad that the driver was not found guilty with felony neglect in this student violence case. The issue of bus drivers not being supported by their company or district supervisors they drive for is more common than people think. I think that school officials feel that if it didn't happen in school, it is not their responsibilities. I have ... See Moreexperienced and seen drivers that have repeatedly had issues that were reported and nothing gets done about it until it becomes violent or they switch drivers to keep a situation from becoming violent. Come on, lets get our transportation and school officials to start backing your drivers before someone gets severly injured or heaven forbid, killed. We, as drivers are limited to what discipline we can use.

I'm liking that re-design. Needless to say I need to see it in person. But just doesn't look right for an EF. The dash looks like those gauges might be a tad on the small side, the gear shifter/selector is behind the steering wheel. And yes I'd to see what the switch pannel looks like. Probably wasn't changed OR they copied BB and made it all color... See More coded according to what switch does what. Only thing I'm liking is how the doghouse has finally been changed. Bout time they made it like the other two.

I'd have to see it in person, but it looks much better than the old EF design. I drive an 02 EF every day and I have a lot of complaints about the driver's area, most of which they seem to have addressed.

Under a new law, school bus drivers statewide are required to conduct end-of-route inspections to ensure that passengers are not left unattended. Failure to do so can result in a driver’s permit being suspended. The law also requires all school buses to be equipped with two-way radios.

Report says there is little chance of children assuming that if they don’t have to wear a seat belt in a school bus, they don’t have to wear one in a personal vehicle.

Mary Ellen Buning Pleased to see that SBF has a facebook page. The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Wheelchair Transportation Safety has a facebook page too. We are doing research on safety for kids who ride to school in school buses and preparing for the National Congress on Student Transportation.

The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Wheelchair Transportation Safety is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR). The program is a partnership between the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) and the Universities of Pittsburgh and Louisville.
