That's cool, but I hope it's in plastic, I'd hate to not be able to read it and keep it when I was done. Awesome idea though!

Hi all, I just had to express a concern I had with the Oct 2009 issue. On pg 40 I found out how to make an hard cover book into an album.
Now let me say that i think recycling is very very important and I congratulate the designer on for their unbridled enthusiasm and creative ingenuity.....However; I have difficulty w...ith destroying books for a couple of reasons. Firsty, I feel that in destroying a book I am becoming an agent of censorship. Secondly, I think that in destroying a book one has to sacrifice anothers creativity inorder to facilitate ones own. Now I may be really over-thinking it - but I'm interested in hearing what others have to say.Read More

Hi, guys! Michelle Rubin here. I helped shoot the how-to for the project, and to answer your question about the pages, I hung on to them to use as paper for other projects. But I thought it would also be cool to make embellishments out of the pages for album. But if you're working on a lot of them, I would suggest recycling the pages. Also, we were using really old books, including yearbooks and text books we found at antique stores and used book stores. Hope that helps!

Create a festive centerpiece for your scrapbooking space by wrapping ribbon, rickrack, and other trims into rolls and storing them on a cupcake holder. Stick a pin through the first few layers of each roll to prevent unraveling.
