Mr. Senator you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing that vote to happen like a "thief in the night". Why are you and the Senate so happy to cram stuff down our throats that we do not want. Is there any question as to why we "the people" don't trust you. In case you still don't get the message, here are the two words that best sum up my feelings on how you are representing me with respect to healthcare.

YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I foresee you being kicked out of office. Maybe even impeached if possible.... See More

BTW, I have forwarded my sentiments to every single newspaper in New Mexico and you have sealed my fate to oppose you with my $$$$, Time and resources.

Today we saw the Senate health reform bill strengthened with the inclusion of Senator Mikulski's Women's Health Amendment. @Tim, Expats are often expats because of (a) economics, and (b) they don't like their countries. I knew a lot of former-Americans in South Korea who consider America a country that's so backwards and corrupt that they wanted to wash their hands of it. I also know Americans who are there because it pays well.

South Korea, repressive? Hah! Take it from someone who'selive there, it's not. There were 11,000 protests held last year alone, ranging from anti-world trade (specifically with the US), anti-Japanese, anti-American (because there've been several 'incidents' with US military stationed in South Korea), to sex trade workers, to private school (hagwon) owners. I have friends who attended those two months ago in Seoul. Oppressive governments don't allow protests at all.

Trying to say that somehow we're the last free country and THAT'S why we have people immigrating here is hilarious, and patently false. There are a lot of reasons to leave your home country, most of them economic or highly personal.

And while you're still working for your pay, I know veterans who aren't working for the military anymore who now have the VA for life. I don't begrudge them that - they deserve it. But to say that a single mom struggling to get by on one income while she raises her children, or a family that fell into the insurance gap when they changed jobs when they got sick and are now uninsurable DON'T deserve the right to coverage is wrong.

To label attempts to help these people find coverage (and provide a government option for those in need of one), as well as holding insurance companies to ethical standards as creeping socialism is outright ridiculous verging on the absurd. There ARE real issues that need to be addressed about the legislation, and it does need to be watchdogged... but to imply that it's a threat to the Constitution and the American way of life is outright hilarious.
