Seth, a native of Hartford, Connecticut, includes actor, singer, writer, director, and vocal coach among his titles. He was bitten by the performing and teaching bug at an early age because his mother is an actress and a teacher. At 13, Seth became a Disc Jockey on Hartford's Urban music radio station, WQTQ. After maintaining a hectic schedule of performing, rehearsing and doing school work through public school, Seth went off to Yale University, where at 20 years old he received a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Studies. At Yale, Seth founded the WERC Theater Company, where he produced and directed undergraduate plays and musicals. Seth has made music around the U.S. and the world, performing for the likes of President Clinton and family at the White House, Mother Theresa at the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, travelers aboard the QE2, and his cousin by marriage Rosa Parks.
Seth has also starred in a 20-performance concert series at Carnegie Hall and been honored by the NAACP for his musical pursuits. Seth has recently completed 2 singing tours on behalf of the US Embassy, including a stadium concert for 18,000 people in Brazzaville, Congo.
Seth competed in Iceland's pre-selection contest for Eurovision and made it to the finals with the song, "Lullaby to Peace". He recorded a house track with Tommi White (Iceland) called, "Every Sunday" which has garnered much attention from DJs around the world. The track was re-released with several remixes in January 2008 and has made its way onto the top lists/charts of many DJs. Seth's vocal abilities have been compared to house music giants Arnold Jarvis and Robert Owens.
Currently, Seth is working on a solo album of original material and continues to perform in Reykjavik, Iceland as well as the United States. Seth will travel to Latvia in June for a music festival celebrating the music of the Baltic States and Scandinavia.
As a vocal coach and singing teacher, Seth has developed a very successful track record for helping his students to reach their goals. Both in Reykjavik and in New York City, Seth’s current and former students have achieved their goals ranging from: personal achievement to international success. Some of the people who have studied with Seth in the past are: the two lead singers of the pop band, “The Scissor Sisters”, Gudbjorg Elisa of Icelandic Idol and the winner of Iceland’s X-Factor, Jogvan Hansen.
As an actor, Seth has performed at various regional theaters throughout the U.S. and off-Broadway in the Houseman Theater Studios production of "Bobos," which was awarded the prestigious Richard Rogers Award. He headlined as Daniel Beauxhomme in the Los Angeles production of "Once on This Island," which was nominated for several Theater LA-Ovation Awards. He received a Robbie Award for being part of the ensemble of this highly acclaimed show. Seth directed several productions with the Urban Youth Theater at New York's Henry Street Theater Settlement, including "Once on This Island," "The Wiz," and "Happy Journey." "The New York Times" called "Hello Out There," Seth's directorial debut with Urban Youth Theater, "impressive." In August 2003, he directed and starred in "Ain't Misbehavin' " at the Loftkastalinn Theater in Reykjavik, Iceland. The show, which was praised as a critical success, was the first time this popular musical was ever presented in Iceland.
