The German ParliamentThird day in Berlin and it’s been snowing non-stop since our arrival. Looks like we’ll be ringing in the New Year in the cold.

Half an hour before our train departure from Nuremberg, our luggage got locked in this tiny elevator without us. We managed to make it to Berlin nonetheless.

Apparently, my mild dairy aversion has become full-blown lactose intolerance. I’ve never been particularly fond of milk but unlike my mother (from whom I inherited this condition), I drank it periodically and in small amounts, which helped keep my digestive system under control. ...

Amtrak trains from New York to Boston are delayed by four hours. I have a $120 ticket and I’m still leaving (with hopes of a refund). Can’t wait around here with a final and an international flight to catch in Boston tomorrow. Don’t even bother going to Penn Station right now. Grey...
