San Francisco Flower & Garden Show Good morning! Outstanding article by 'Dirt Diva' Annie Spiegelman in today's Huffington Post! If this is your cup of compost tea, don't miss Annie's talk 'Organic Gardening: Working with Nature, Even if you're from New York City' on 3/27 at 11:45am (book signing after).

Are home gardeners going to be hoodwinked this season into buying more chemicals to feed their crops and contaminate their entire zip codes or will they smarten up and go organic?

Yeah, it sucks, especially since I don't like a lot of meat. The corn one is pretty severe and it's in everything as an additive. Part of the reason I got into gardening Is I have to make most everything from scratch.

Kimberly--I can see the appeal. When you make it your self with vegetables you grew yourself, you know exactly what is in something before you eat it. My mom has to eat a gluten free diet and it is so hit and miss with labeling and hidden gluten ingredients.
