shacklett Here's an audio demo of the Love Makes Us Strong. This demo is on acoustic guitar as opposed to the video with piano accompaniment. I'm really proud of this song because it said what I wanted it to say. The verses are (mostly) non-fiction. Let me know which you like better, piano or acoustic? Share with your friends!
shacklett Another video of an unreleased song. The lyrics for the chorus came to me completely formed on the short ride home from the theater after seeing Punch Drunk Love. I realize this movie didn't do it for most, but the scene where Adam Sandler's character confronts the Mattress Man (Phillip Seymore Hoffman) face-to-face was (AWESOME!) really the spark for this song.

So, I don't know why or how, but the file I have for this song has the first few seconds clipped off the beginning. The lyrics of the first couple of lines that you miss are: "See, that's the trick of honesty:
It sets you free but casts you out
It's just as well..." Oh yea. Co-wrote this song with my friend, Rustin Smith. I like it a lot.
