... Takeshi Murata produces extraordinary digital works that refigure the experience of animation. Whether altering appropriated footage from cinema (B movies, vintage horror films), or creating Rorschach-like fields of seething color, form, and motion, Murata produces astonishing visions that redefine the boundaries between abstraction and recognition. Originally from Chicago, IL, Takeshi is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. He has exhibited widely in many venues and his work will soon be featured at Salon 94 on the Bowery in the spring. The cover image, Cyborg, and the others in the series "Get Your Ass to Mars" can be found in Kramer’s Ergot Vol. 8.

Tim Harrington is an emblematic character in the indie rock universe, a prominent citizen of Brooklyn, New York, and local dad-about-town. Tim has fronted the band Les Savy Fav since 1995, and is the man behind the Pitchfork.tv series “Bear...do”.
