As part of SIS Alumni’s formal launch, we are proud to introduce Ms.Jessica Tan Soon Neo as the privileged guest in our very first Alumni event. The SIS Alumni Reach is aimed at providing the alumni community with the opportunity to network with one another and with our distinguished partners. Jessica has agreed to spe...nd some time to share her views on career planning, the economic environment and how best a recent graduate can stay ahead of the corporate game.
Ms. Jessica Tan Soon Neo is the current Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore and Member of Parliament for the East Coast Group Representative Committee (GRC). She is also a graduate from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors of Social Sciences (Honours), majoring in Sociology and Economics.
Most, if not all will consider her journey to become a regional leader in technology to be unique. Having spent nearly 20 years in the IT industry, Jessica has worked across sales and strategic business development with technology giants IBM and Microsoft.
Today you might question: what made her take up a career in technology? And why and how did she end up as a Member of Parliament three years ago? What does she think about the current economic landscape in Asia? How can a SMU graduate prepare for changing times like this?
On the other hand, you may not have any questions at all but simply want to catch up with fellow alumni. Maybe you simply crave the wine, cheese and chips that we have laid out for you. Send in your RSVP and we will see you there. It’ll be fun. We promise.
