Thank you Skyskanners for the excellent service you provide on flight information. I first visited your site a couple of years ago but sadly my local airport of Aberdeen was not listed. However a recommendation on another travel site took me back and your site is excellent (especially as I can now start my trip from AB...Z) so easy to use, and a wealth of information at a click. I have just booked bargain flights to Dubai via CDG for February so THANK YOU and cannot wait for Dubai!Read More

Can I reccommend three travel books or is that against the rules?!
The inspirational Devla Murphy's South of the Limpopo, travels in South Africa pre and post apartheid http://www.amazon.co.uk/South-Limpopo-De rvla-Murphy/dp/1585671274
Another Quiet American http://www.amazon.co.uk/Another-Quiet-Am erican-Stories-Life/dp/9...748303683 is an interesting read about an American, Brett Dakin, who finds himself almost accidentally living and working in Laos. Difficult to get hold of but fascinating if you've been to the country.
Finally, whilst not strictly a travel book I love Iris and Ruby by Rosie Thomas http://www.amazon.co.uk/Iris-Ruby-Rosie- Thomas/dp/0007173539. A story set in modern day and wartime Cairo which takes me back to my (very lost) wanderings around Islamic Cairo and makes me wish I could travel in time as well as space to visit the Cairo of the 1940s.Read More
