Very odd last sentence

"Perhaps like Snus, Camel aka R.J. Reynolds is planning on making the spray or pouch that Niconovum markets and turn it into another harmful "reduced harm" product."

Snus is not harmless, but it is about 99% less risky then smoking. I guess it would be harmful to anti-tobacco activist who insist on a "quit or die" approach to tobacco and refuse to acknowledge the reduced harm approach. ... Read More

For decades big tobacco lied to us on the dangers of smoking and millions of people died prematurely. Now anti-smoking activist are lying about reduced harm tobacco products and millions of people will die prematurely because of it.

It's such a shame that Smoke Free Wisconsin has taken such a reckless and dangerous stance on reduced harm. The people of Wisconsin are suffering because of it.

USA Today has picked up the e-cig issue. It seems everyone is talking about e-cigs these days. The question they ask, and that public health and tobacco control is asking is clear; is this stuff safe? Is it reasonable to deduce that because the product doesn't contain "tobacco" it is safe...

E-cigarettes are a safer alternative to smoking. They are saving the lives of thousands of smokers. Reposting incorrect information, that supports your "Quit or Die" attitude is intellectually dishonest.

No I don't work for the E-cigarette industry. Which by the way is made up mainly of Mom and Pop retailers in the USA working from their homes.

To quote Health New Zealand's findings:... Read More

"The presence of trace amounts of TSNAs in electronic cigarette vapor was previously documented in an analysis done by the Health New Zealand medical journal in October 2008. However, unlike the FDA study, the Health New Zealand study conducted detailed quantitative analysis and concluded that carcinogens and toxicants are present only below harmful levels. Overall, the product tested was deemed a "safe alternative to smoking."

I agree the people of Wisconsin should be educated about products like snus. So let's start right now.

A vast majority of snus is manufactured in Sweden where it is strictly regulated by the government as a food product. All ingredients are required to be listed on the can. The processing of snus, which is also regulated, is pacific as to vastly reduce the toxins associated with tobacco. Snus is air cured as opposed to fire cured, pasteurized as opposed to fermented. The end result is a tobacco product that is orders of magnitude safer then smoking.

All evidence points to the fact that snus has about 1% of the risk associated with smoking. Snus has no known connection with any oral cancers. Because it's an oral tobacco there is 0% increased risk of any lung diseases. ... Read More

Because of the greatly reduced risk of snus people who have been unable to quit smoking should be encouraged to switch to snus. The continuing stream of misinformation from public heath advocates on products like snus is a great disservice to the people of Wisconsin.

I tried to make some sense from your statement Daryl, but it eludes me. Snus is an oral tobacco product. No smoke therefore no second hand smoke. Do a bit or research and we can talk.
