Wow !!! Unbelievable. I was at SMU when we got the death penalty, too. - Remember we used to play all the games at Texas Stadium ? - really it was a huge pain to go all the way out there. I am so pleased someone had the insight and fortitude to build that great stadium ON the campus. And now Finally A BOWL !! Yeah baby !!

When I attended those schools they had a low tolerance for ignorance. Things may have changed, but I don't think so. I ... See Morealso believe these institutions provide the best guidance available. In addition, I am a member of Cecil Williams congregation (see the post below concerning The SMU Distinguished Alumni Awards). I don't think the University provides such awards for misguiding people, but again I could be mistaken and Rev. Williams is misguiding me. I respect your opinion that SMU is honored to have this library come to campus. I am indeed ignorant as to why it couldn't find a home at any of his almae matres, although I have an idea as to why. Perhaps you could provide me with that answer.

Jack Bowman I just rerturned to my home in Florida, after attending Homecoming. It was a treat for me to visit with many old friends from my years on the hilltop. it is hard to believe the class of'53 started 60 years ago in 1949. The campus have grown and is more bneautiful than ever, but the most attractive thing about SMU is... the quality of the people it attracts and the consideration and affection they show each other. It holds a special place in my life.
