Steve Lawson Undying Inc. - Indian Extreme Metal Band.

OK, Andrew Dubber tweeted about these guys a few days ago - I opened the website, and left the tab open for later perusal. I wouldn't have left it this long if I'd known. Wow. Seriously great band - s ... Read More on Steve Recommends... http://post.ly/D0IV

Steve Lawson Free music from Steve Coleman

Over the last couple of days, I've been checking out some music from Steve Coleman. He's someone I've heard a lot about over the years, but hadn't actually listened to til now. He's recently made a ma ... Read More on Steve Recommends... http://post.ly/CxfB

Steve Lawson Collecting together this year's musical experiments Pt 1

This year, I haven't put out any 'official' music. No album, no EP - nothing. End of last year was the Lawson/Dodds/Wood album, which I'm hugely proud of. But I have been documenting some of my experi ... Read More on Steve Recommends... http://post.ly/Ctcn

Steve Lawson Playing fretted bass for the first time in AGES!

Haven't had some moderate musical successes over the last few days on fretless bass, I thought today I'd have a play with my 6 string fretted bass - it's an awesome instrument, sounding and feeling un ... Read More on Steve Recommends... http://post.ly/Cp8x

Steve Lawson The Nels Cline Singers – Draw Breath

I do from, time to time, go on obsessive binges on the music of one artist. Over the years, I've got nuts over Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, Bill Frisell, Iona, Yes, Eric Roche, Jonatha Brooke... ... Read More on Steve Recommends... http://post.ly/CebT

I do that quite a lot, especially on ambient gigs. Once did a gig at the top of the Gherkin (I think it was the first proper live gig up there) with Theo Travis, as a duo, and there were NO monitors at all. no speakers near us, so we were playing in the corner, then wandering around to see if it sounded OK :) Was a lot of fun, if a little weird ;)

Steve Lawson Lobelia and I got lucky...

Steve Lawson sorry for the absence - I'm in the middle of trying to write a 50,000 word novel in a month, with the added fun of finishing it before the baby arrives... Send me a message if you want the link to read the first 14,000 (unedited) words :)

I'm up to just under 20,000 words now, so we'll see how I go! I'm guessing I'll be doing less writing once flapjack arrives.. ;)
