It's my first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner! I am so excited! We are going to brine the turkey this year. Then my mother-in-law is making cornbread dressing, my Grandma is making 2 pumpkin pies and her green jello. Then I am finishing off the meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, candied yams, green beans almondine, jellied cranberry sauce and crescent rolls. Went to Raley's yesterday, so I am all ready! Happy Thanksgiving!

I make what Chinese restaurants in SoCal used to call crab rangoon. 8 ou cream cheese whipped with 1 tsp soy sauce, 12 ou fresh or canned crab, 2 or 3 chopped scallions, and about 1/2 tsp granulated garlic. Put 1 tsp mixture in center of wanton, lightly moisten wrapper around crab mix, bring up opposite corners, and press firmly to seal around crab. Deep fry in peanut oil at about 375-380 degrees until golden brown. Watched 50 go in less than 5 minutes at a church celebration!
