late afternoon better for me, not sure I can always catch the noon chat..I would like to get some trifle recipes,soups, sauces..and homemade candy for Christmas... and yes some new ideas for the everyday meals~thanks

how about a diabetes friendly cookbooks usually in the WELL FOR Life section, and some soy nuts from the bins their half the fat of regular nuts, if they don't have a glucose monitor that's a must, maybe some of that fancy balsamic vinegar in the pretty bottles and a jar of herbes de provence, and a pretty smell aroma candle to remind them of the importance of stress reduction to keep blood sugars lower.

parmesan-herb crusted pork chops, brown rice, broccoli, chocolate decadence (not homemade, lol) with homemade raspberry sauce. oink.....good big dinner with lots of leftovers

When you want to season something you're cooking in a pan, put the lid on for a minute or two to build up some condensation on the underside of the lid. Remove lid, sprinkle in your seasonings, replace lid. Seasonings "drip" down onto the food.
My mom always made her fried chicken like that. She seasoned the lid with garlic salt and a bit of pepper. YUM

I made caramel apples yesterday! - Just follow the recipe on the back of the Kraft caramel package.

Sorry SE, but Brach's Milk Maid caramels don't hold a candle to Kraft!

I've never heard of this cereal? Is it simular to Leapin Lemars in the natural isle or to the one made by Post Coco Pebbles?

It's like Raley's brand of Coco Puffs. I think its in the regular cereal isle.

Saturday i made pumpkin empanadas, using Libby's canned pumpkin, cage free eggs, carnation evaporated milk, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves-all folded in my best ever crust, made with (are you ready for this!) vodka!
