For the fifth year in a row, Michigan State University leads the nation in study abroad participation among public universities in the United States, according to Open Doors 2009, the annual report on international education released today by the Institute of International Education.

Mohammed was burned as an infant by an exploding oil lamp in his home. Last fall, a Michigan Army National Guardsman befriended Mohammed in Iraq and brought him to Michigan, where he received medical care from a MSU doctor at Sparrow Hospital.
