Spirit of the Sea Festival 2009. Approximately 800 Year 6 children from all the Borough’s schools attend Primary College. This is run by Weymouth College and marks the transition point for the participants from primary school to secondary school. In 2008, Arts Council of England funded a professional carnival company t...o assist in making a Spirit of The Sea procession, during Primary College. After a lot of hard work and stress, the resulting procession received such critical acclaim that it is back by popular demand this year.
