For the GIT participants....what if it's not about saving money and making it fun? what if we abstract to another level where we are just "creating value without spending money"....like volunteer work. Making volunteer work more fun saves the city lots of money, and overall makes your city a better place! Am I getti...ng this wrong Tina? heehee. Sorry guys. Good luck with GIT, Rock it!, and have a great Sunday!!!Read More

How about investing in education too... by putting good professors, investing in academic institutions and stimulating curiosity, people will invent things which will save money themselves, we will have a greener and healthier planet. Combining what you said and education I think we will save money and ourselves :-)

Yup, a good education should help people make good decisions...save money. "Building off of that" if we invest in education, kids can create a website where they present what they are learning and inventing! People would have FUN seeing how kids think and how creative they are...but prototype and test! ...watching my cousin's kids draw and explain their "crafts" are cute and hilarious.

What if there is an iphone app where you can enter any amount, and it will scan a database filled with "goodwill" type purchases like Kiva.org donations, one meal for a homeless person at a food shelter....so every time I'm debating about buying another book or going for an expensive meal versus a cheaper meal, I can see the "goodwill" value in that extra $2 before I spend it.

wait I guess that's not really saving money, since I might quickly spend it on that "goodwill" purchase idea....and I think I forgot the fun factor in saving. hmmm. Can anyone build off of that? Or, stay away from iphone app ideas!
