One of the first things a person might think when checking out Stateless, the new show by Dan Wolf and Tommy Shepherd, is “hip hop mixed with…vaudeville? How does that work?” Disparate music styles have ...

David Hirata Stateless is awesome! The show begins with a single bright light shining in the darkness, then the show's energy builds and builds and builds as Keith, Dan and Tommy take the stage, then never lets up (how appropriate that the show ends with the image of an explosion, among others). What an amazing cast, and a fantastic mix of forms!

Natasha Lajes I went and seen Stateless last night and it was wonderful! I couldn't decide which part I liked the best because I loved every part! Between The Wolf with his storytelling/rapping, The Shepherd with his amazing beat boxing skills and heart catching story of his family background, and The Pinto's skilled choreography as... ...well as his hilarious attitude that made the crowd go wild! I will reccomend this show to EVERYONE I know! Thank you performers!!!

Ellen Elizabeth Carter: Saw Stateless last night at Traveling Jewish Theatre! Great show. Fun, thought provoking, and just mad skills all the way around.....don't miss the train.

Ellen Pamela Wu: Just saw Stateless. A Must See! Congrats to Ellen Sebastian Chang. You are the best director on the planet. Please check out the show! Wolf and Sherman were fabulous.

Ellen Lauren C Elder: Go see STATELESS! Directed by my firend Ellen Sebastian Chang, it is still playing at TJT within Project Artaud, San Francisco. It stars 3 extraordinarily talented young men, collectively known as FELONIOUS. The production values far exceed what you might expect in a small theater. It's great entertainment with a social conscience.

I resonate with the words of Martin Espada: “Strangely enough, this sense of never being at home, this sense of not truly belonging anywhere, produces a friction that sets off the sparks of poetry. If ...
