Sting Spectacle: Elvis Costello with... announces that The Police will tape a television appearance for the new talk/performance series. The episode will air as part of Spectacle's debut season, to premiere later this year on Sundance Channel in the U.S., CTV in Canada and Channel 4 in the U.K., with FremantleMedia Enterprises distributing the series internationally.

Sting New York Public Television and The Police have announced that an eBay auction of once-in-a-lifetime VIP concert packages, meet n' greet and photo opportunities with the band, as well as autographed memorabilia (to soon include a complete set of The Police autographed signature instruments) is now live, and will commemorate the final concert from one of the world's most revered rock bands. Sting Coming on August 5, 'Songs For Tibet - The Art of Peace'...

The Art of Peace Foundation announced today that over a dozen of the world's top musical artists, including Sting, Dave Mathews, John Mayer, Suzanne Vega, Rush and Duncan Sheik are coming together for an album entitled, "Songs for Tibet - The Art of Peace." The project is the artists' expression of peace and support for Tibet and the Dalai Lama.

The album features acoustic songs recorded by the artists that are proactive celebrations of our shared humanity and common search for happiness. The songs themselves reflect the sublime beauty and vulnerabilities experienced in pursuit of happiness, peace and freedom.

The album will release August 5th, three days before the opening of the Summer Olympics.
