Mark Neumann Here is an interesting article about a Chinese company CREATING JOBS in Wisconsin at the end of 2010. Unfortunately, it's usually the other way around. This new project is looking at bringing 300 to 500 jobs to the area. http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/metro/2009-12/30/content_9246802.htm

The way I remember it, Northridge was a crime infested area. If it takes the Chinese to bring crime back to that area, good for Milwaukee. I won't be visiting the area.

@ Bryan....Have you even visited that area in the past 5 years? It's sad/bad! As a youth I use to take a bus to that mall to shop, it was a safe area, nice shops it is now a run down eye sore. The area businesses are all suffering because of it...If the Chinese can clean up that Mall, breathe some life into those tired old walls then GOOD for ... See Morethem, good for all of us. Thank GOD someone is taking an interest in revitalizing that area....OUR own people don't want to take a chance. Maybe you should visit that area Bryan, you might have a change of heart.

Mark Neumann For those who are in the southern part of the state, one thing rarely covered is the growth occurring in Northern Wisconsin. Check out some of these new developments that will be creating more jobs for the area: http://dailyreporter.com/blog/2009/12/29/northwest-wisconsin-under-development/

We are appreciative for the jobs---with the help of Federal Stimulus MONEY. And for the record, Black River Falls is not in Northern Wisconsin, it is in West Central Wisconsin. Do any of you folks in the southern part of the State know where we are?

I agree with some of the other comments. What Wisconsin really needs is permanent production jobs. The temporary, typically government funded jobs are great and necessary components to a healthy economy but we can't keep spending this way. Hopefully Mr. Neumann will not tax the companies out of Wisconsin.

Mark Neumann And interesting (and troubling) figure: The state had lost 163,000 jobs since the recession officially began in December 2007 — or 5.7 percent of the total jobs in the state. http://host.madison.com/ct/business/article_5d5f0f13-73c1-5a14-96db-59ae7b0bcf89.html?mode=story

Very interesting story. But, I noticed the 8.2% unemployment figure. Those are only people collecting unemployment benefits. How about the jobless, homeless and those whose benefits ran out? Now what is the figure?

Bryan, you're absolutely right - that doesn't even include those who are simply not willing to go to the Gov't for a handout. It's hard to get those true numbers.

Mark Neumann Well, normally we'd ask for your predictions on today's Packer game, but looking at the current score, Packers: 31 - Seahawks: 3, simply saying "a lot to a little" should suffice (fingers crossed).

Taxes and Fees: 31 - Taxpayers 0!!!! Under Doyle, Taxes and Fees is always on offense and in the red zone. Team Taxpayer can only have 7 men on the field but is still penalized on every play.

honestly though we are all looking at a much better future in our economy simply because buyer's are becoming more willing to spend and that is allowing the stock market to return to a stable and thriving state and also fueling a recovery movement...and quite honestly all of the small business owners have nothing to worry about with the health care... See More bill because if theres anything that any educated person knows is that it will take months if not years to get the required number of votes and supporters to achieve anything within congress...so really president Obama has done exactly what was demanded of him this past year allowing us to recover at a smooth and for the most part constant recovery since his inauguration...wooh...that was a mouthful
