With You, We Stand is a new feature on the SU2C Blog. Each week we'll focus on the stories of people around the world who have fought or are fighting cancer, and we invite you to share your stories with us in the comments below...

Like many high school girls in the '80s, I ran home after school for two things: my mom's cooking and Charlie's Angels re-runs...

This week brings the news that obesity has been linked to yet another form of cancer - this time, pancreatic cancer, which is the fourth-leading cause of death for men and women in the US...

This week brings some bad news when it comes to dietary supplements and cancer prevention. The Center for Science in the Public Interest is suing Bayer over the company's claims that its One A Day vitamins for men decrease the risk of developing prostate cancer...

Stand Up To Cancer
Vote for Dr. John Glaspy and the National's in MLB's All-Stars Among Us! Voting ends Wednesday . . . https://www.peopleallstars.com/peopleall stars/vote/vote.jsp
Thanks! :)

On the heels of last week's good news - that US cancer rates are on the decline across the board - comes a less positive development. A new study indicates that the incidence of colorectal cancer has increased in 27 countries worldwide...

There's lots of exciting news this week, so let's dive right in. Researchers at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute have created a new, experimental class of drugs called PARP inhibitors...

Lisa at 3:33pm July 2
I was very disappointed to see that in spite of accepting millions of dollars on behalf of sick children (like my son) or deceased children (like others I knew), none of the Dream Teams will be researching any of the myriad childhood cancers. All are adult cancers and some have much higher cure rates than many childhood cancers. I feel like these kids were used. Please fund childhood cancers nextr year.
Lisa at 6:12pm July 2
Why, when at least 7 children die every day from cancer in the US (1 in 5 children with cancer will die), is SU2C giving money to research prostate cancer? Prostate cancer already has a 99% CURE RATE!

In case you haven't already heard, SU2C had some exciting news of its own to announce this week. Our Scientific Advisory Committee has announced its first five Dream Teams, slated to receive over $70 million in funding over the next three years...

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.

Thanks to an outpouring of support from philanthropists, people from all walks of life, corporations and public-spirited organizations across the country, we have a chance to strike a real blow against cancer, which still claims more than half a million American lives each year...
