Californians! Call your state representatives to pass this bill. SB 843 would make Virtual Solar affordable and without even owning a roof http://exm.nr/KUQCE5

DISLIKE! I'm a huge fan of solar, but if solar is so great, why can't you just let the market decide? Believe me, once I have my own place I want to live off the grid, but I want to do so knowing the solar/wind company I buy from isn't gett...ing a handout. Fossil fuel companies don't get subsidies. A subsidy, as you very well know, is direct government spending to compensate for what would be lost revenue. If solar is as good as you claim, it should be able to provide gigawatts of power and millions of jobs. 3,000 MW is a drop in the bucket. Until "green" companies can function without anything other than a good business strategy and private investment, it will never make a difference. I don't want to hear "oil companies get subsidies, so do we!" No they don't. They've got their big boy pants on and so should you. The only thing businesses should rightfully ask of the government is reduced regulation and less red tape.See More
