On May 24th, my humans lost their home to a horrific apt. fire and I lost my best friend Riggs. After jumping from the 3rd story balcony and spending 3 weeks in the hospital for severe burns, I'm OK and we have a new home and new a new friend Chico!

Who's Dokes?
On Sunday night, May 24th, 2009, my home (near Goshen & Barry Avenue) was devastated by an enormous fire, in which, me and my humans lost everything we owned and loved, including my best friend, Riggs.
I did the only thing I could and jumped three stories to the street below where my humans’ friends found me 20 hours later and rushed me to the emergency room at the West Los Angeles VCA, where I was treated for severe second, third and fourth degree burns and a ruptured bladder.
Over the months that followed thousands of animal lovers gathered together to show their support for me and my humans and raised all the money needed to help me fully recover. I have over 4,000 friends on facebook and thousands more around the world.
Now I want to stay in touch with all of my new friends and give back to the animal world.

Deborah Burgio You are a beautiful kitty. Your eyes tell your story. I have a calico whose previous owner threw her out of a moving car. She was then hit by another car, fracturing her spine. She lost her kittens and the use of her hind legs. She is a sweet, gorgeous cat who has enriched my life greatly since I met and adopted her.
