Surrogate Hey all: We are playing the next two Wednesdays in a row in the grand ballroom at the lovely LaSalle's luxury resort hotel and casino in Downtown Chico. Tomorrow is with Joybook, and next Wednesday is the CD release party for some local kids with special needs Armed for Apocalypse, and by special needs I mean, they really need you to come buy their CD so they can eat and continue on with their miserable lives.
Surrogate Hey everyone, just letting you know that we're crawling out of our respective holes long enough to play next Wednesday at LaSalles in Chico, CA with our friends Joybook. If you're around, and of legal age (for drinking, perv...) you should come hang out.
Surrogate A heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it out, donated, spread the word and otherwise helped out with yesterday's benefit. It was successful beyond any and all expectations! Fried catfish, harmonizing clampers, adult beverages and an acoustic set under the stars; back home we used to call that "living the dream."
Surrogate Benefit dinner/washers tournament this Saturday for our keyboard player Daniel Martin - who recently had to get some not cheap medical treatment sans insurance - also featuring an asscoustic Surrogate set, and some live bluegrass by some dudes waaaaay better than us at music, as well as the kind of camaraderie, backslapping and altruistic warm-fuzziness that makes life worth living.
