To put things in perspective, the U.S. Open Swing Dance Competition has a top prize of $3000, while the 2009 David Patrone $10,000 Swing Dance Extravaganza will have a top prize of $5000!
Starting Sun. January 11th, registered couples may compete in any number of 9 weekly qualifying rounds in order to advance to the semi-final round held on March 22nd. Only the top 2 couples from each of these 9 qualifying rounds will move on to the semi-finals. Of the 20 couples in the semi-final round, only 10 couples will be chosen to move on to the final round held on March 29th, where they will then battle it out for one of 3 huge cash prizes.
1st prize: $5,000.00
2nd prize: $3,000.00
3rd prize: $2,000.00
Combined Cash Prize Money: $10,000.00
Please Note: Registered couples may compete as many weeks as they needed until they qualify for the semi-final round. To put things in perspective, the U.S. Open Swing Dance Competition has a top prize of $3000, while the 2009 David Patrone $10,000 Swing Dance Extravaganza will have a top prize of $5000!
Starting Sun. January 11th, registered couples may compete in any number of 9 weekly qualifying rounds in order to advance to the semi-final round held on March 22nd. Only the top 2 couples from each of these 9 qualifying rounds will move on to the semi-finals. Of the 20 couples in the semi-final round, only 10 couples will be chosen to move on to the final round held on March 29th, where they will then battle it out for one of 3 huge cash prizes.
1st prize: $5,000.00
2nd prize: $3,000.00
3rd prize: $2,000.00
Combined Cash Prize Money: $10,000.00
Please Note: Registered couples may compete as many weeks as they needed until they qualify for the semi-final round. Once you qualify, you need not show up again until the semi-final round on March 22nd.
