I saw this movie for the first time last night and can't stop thinking about it today. I never knew that many people were involved with every KIA. It must be very tough on all of those wonderful people to do so much for the deceased.
I think this movie should be one that everyone watches on Memorial Day.
There were s...o many great scenes in the movie but the ending was the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcsPuNxEH XoRead More

Kristie Ladkani Mann As the wife of a veteran, this movie touched me so much. May we continue to always honor those who have fallen for our freedom. I hope every American will take time out of their lives to see this film. Kevin Bacon was just awesome. Thank you for telling this story HBO.

Wen my son was killed, my husband had/wanted nothing to do with anything Jason. I made him watch this movie when it was released to dvd, and 2 years later, he finally cried for my son.
Chance, your life was so short but your impact was and has been great. You are a true Hero. Thank you!!!!!

Kate Baggs I watched this movie for the first time today in my Government class. and all i have to say is this movie was so amazing! I totally brought tears to my eyes and a whole new appreciation for those who serve our country in different ways. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Anthony Lynch I am not ashamed to say that I was brought to tears several times while watching this movie. May God be with the Phelps family and the families of all our fallen heroes. And a special thank you to all those like Lt Col Strobl who bring them home with such honor.

Philip Webb
I agree with you all that this is a must see movie! I myself have watched this movie several times, and still can't make it through without getting emotional. As a former Marine, I can certainly relate to losing brothers in arms. As a former family director at a funeral home and cemetery, I had the honor and privilege ...of ensuring our fallen heros were honorably laid to rest. I have been a part of several services for our returning servicemen who have lost their lives, and still jolt / jump, get shivers in my spine, get teary eyed, and stand at attention when full honors are rendered followed by the playing of Taps. This movie is an excellent example of true patriotism, the bond that those who have served will forever share, and the ultimate sacrifices those that have fallen have made so that others may enjoy life as we know it.Read More
