Nancy Burns Cardoso Read the article and cried....watched the movie and cried. Thank you for telling the story of Chance Phelps. It reminds us of the sacrifices so many people are making on our behalf.
Fred Cunningham was a part of a ceremony on the flightline here in the Kyrgyz Republic for five fallen heroes. They did not die in vain, and it was an honor and a privilege to pay my respects as they transited my deployed location. I pray God will comfort their families in this time of grief.

Sad that our Soldiers had to die over a war that was manufactured so that a select few could profit in war contracts and oil.
No weapons of Mass destruction were found, and we all knew that, but our soldiers died, and so did theirs. True Semper Fi means No reason for our soldiers to have to die!

John cont'd--- I have a thought, that somehow we could get info about fallen soldiers, and when thier funerals were being held, my idea is to start groups in different cities to go to the cemeteries during thier funerals and stand in the distance with banners of appreciation for families sacrifice, and let them know there a...re those of us that do not take our freedom for granted. I am just not sure whether it would be ok, or if it would be an intrusion. What do you think? And what are some other ideas along this line?
John I saw this movie and had a very hard time holding back tears. I have told everyone that I know to watch it. I have read several comments on here and they echo the same things I said after I watched the movie. I believe every American should watch this movie!!! They should make it watched in every high school in Ameri...ca. I have tried to find a way to thank Kevin Bacon for making this film. He did a great job. I love movies have even been in one, but I have never been more proud of an actor than this one in this movie. ----continued---
Lauralyn Every American should see this movie. It was very sad (I cried from the beginning to the end) but so uplifting and heartwarming to see the respect the everyday American bestowed on Chance. I would like to see the same honor given to so many of the wounded vets in the way of medical treatment and help for their families.
