Construction Begins on the Texas Honey Bee Facility
The vision for funding, constructing, and equipping the joint, permanent homes for the tentatively named Honey Bee Research and Education Center and the existing Texas Apiary Inspection Service begins to take on a physical shape this month. This 6,500 square foot, wood framed building with metal roof and siding will be located on the Texas A&M Riverside Campus, College Station.
Record Number of Entomology Graduates Participate in May Commencement Ceremony

A milestone was made in the Department of Entomology's 110-year history as a record number of students from the Department paricipated in May 2009 commencement exercises.
A total of 26 students, consisting of 24 undergraduates and two graduate students joined the more than 800 undergraduates and 57 graduate students from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences during the 2 p.m. ceremony on Friday, May 15.
Entomology Student Research Recognized at TAMU Student Research Week

Research is the first step in discoveries. For four students in the Department of Entomology, their research discovered top honors for excellence during this year's Student Research Week.
These students were part of hundreds of other projects presented during the event held from March 23-27.
