TaraFlyPhotos is obsessed and weird (according to her oldest daughter), and 2-year-old Mia is staring perplexedly at this "nude" woman with a cat's head. :)
I'm determined to stay ahead of the holidays/seasons this year! So here is a piece I've been doodlin...g this evening: The Goddess Venus... either for Valentine's Day or spring.
I wanted to paint her nude (since all the classical artists depicted her that way) but how do you paint a nude cat anyway??
Although cats have multiple nipples and such, I just gave her an anthromorphic (human-like) body, as usual, and covered her modestly with her own hair. hehe
That will eventually be a cream colored loincloth around her waist. :)
She is resting on a large flat rock (of pinkish hue) in the middle of a river... the riverbed is covered with slabs of rock. I might add more roses and petals...
Anyway, I'll tackle this picture next, after finishing the calico kimono cat.

TaraFlyPhotos might actually finish this tonight, or tomorrow morning, and get it listed on eBay... if my luck takes a 180○ turn. Should've eaten that sauerkraut!
My initial sketch of the geisha Cat onto fine art paper didn't leave much room for kimono details, s...o I re-drew her smaller (for the contest).
I kept the first drawing in case I decided to create another, and make a series of them.
Here she is - a calico, this time, in green. Still working on her... I'm thinking koi for the design. And I'm planning to auction this one on eBay when she's finished. :D

TaraFlyPhotos jumped on ye olde passing wagon, and composed my Resolutions for this coming year. :) Need to move the business forward and get organized!

I gambled with my luck (again) this year by foregoing the sauerkraut obsession. None of my acquaintances can seem to vouch for its effectiveness in bringing good fortune… and yet, judging by the ...

TaraFlyPhotos considered painting a bowl of sauerkraut last night to bring luck... no sense in joining the mob brawling over the last bag. ;)

TaraFlyPhotos stayed awake past 2:00AM, finishing Joe's belated Christmas present... a Vampire Cat painting. :) He loves playing Vampire Wars here on Facebook.
I pulled another late night to finish this... 2:00AM is late for me. LOL
Vampire Cat was supposed to ...be Joe's Christmas present... he wanted a new avatar image that reflects his VampireWars interest.
Unfortunately, even after cropping the background for his profile, many of the details are lost when Facebook shrinks the cat down to thumbnail size. Oh well.

TaraFlyPhotos This is the result of Dayquil cold medicine... ;) I like the way it's turning out, though.
April, the winner of the custom portrait, gave me this snapshot of her children to use. It came from... her camera phone. :)
Here is what I've done today... I still have plans to add crowns and perhaps some butterflies or birds... anything else it might need?

TaraFlyPhotos This week, I've been revamping my Zazzle shop: editing listings, adding all my newest artworks. Sooooo much left to do, though. I just finished the greeting card section. :)

TaraFlyPhotos Do vampires cast shadows???
No, Lydia, I'm not finished. ;)
I just completed a rough painting... decided upon my colors and shado...ws etc. He has a looong way to go.
Details will be added in the next couple days, but I wanted to get the basics done before I lost my motivation (a.k.a. got sidetracked) :P

Everyone say "hi!" to Michael! This piece of eye candy is going to serve as a reference pose for my ...next painting.
Sadly, Michael will not be with us for long... next time, he'll be sprouting whiskers and fur. So enjoy him while you can! Bwahaha

TaraFlyPhotos A bit groggy today, because I stayed up to finish this Kimono Cat last night. I swore to have it done over the weekend. LOL It's almost ready to ship out (just needs a mat) :)
The Kimono Cat - won by John Harper in my give-away contest - is finally done. I pulled a late-nigh...ter (well, 1:30AM is late for me these days) to finish it, because I was motivated and didn't want to put it away. lol
It's an acrylic painting, 8"x10", on Canson Art paper... I will head out to the frame shop in a bit to get a mat for it.
