Colleen Ridge My husband is from Taroona but we live in Texas. We go across once a year to visit and my favorite time is to go across in December to spend Christmas with family, go to the Taste and watch the Sydney to Hobart race. I love going down to Sullivans Cove and Salamanca regardless what time of year we go across. This sure makes me homesick and I am not even from Australia, let alone Tassie!
Sal well, although I no longer live in Tassie, I'd visit the Taste tomorrow, if it was on, and if it didn't cost so much to get from Far North Queensland to Hobart. What a fantastic festival. I envy a couple of friends from up here, as they are travelling to Tassie for a few days, just to do the festival! Lucky buggers!
