the energy/heating discussion is not new... there are plenty of hosting providers which have weather climate guys calculating a global thermo-model for the rack rooms. global models are for sure more efficient than per bay, rack or even worse per U-setup.

most fun part about is, that most of the times, sales is sitting one floor above the racks and rooms are heated through the selled racks... bad for those guys, if they don't sell enough rack space during winter time :)
